Columbus day and presidents day are worthless. To a slightly lesser extent so are veterans day and MLK.
Yeah, everyone gets Christmas off unless you work at a grocery store, a movie theater, a restaurant....
Only if you work at a Chinese or Indian restaurant! Several years ago we were moving over the Christmas break and picked up all our stuff on Dec 24 and we were going to clean the apartment and hand the keys on Dec 26. Nothing was open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day except Indian and Chinese restaurants. Also the origin of the Jewish folks in NY eating Chinese food on Christmas Day

ummm cuz folks like yall still expect to be served?
This.

Plus, fuck your Black Friday bullshit.
You should only get the day off if you sign a contract agreeing not go shopping that day.
I guess i was ok with it back when they started the sales at normal time.

I can't understand how we should be ok with people having to leave family Thanksgiving gatherings to rush to work and get a store over stocked by midnight for raging assholes to kill each other to while snatching up shit that they don't need.

Or attend some big commercial holiday buffet dinner. Resort towns are a whole nother ballgame.

“Boy this soup is good! Rich, but so tasty, I think I’ll have another bowl. What do yall call this kinda soup, anyway?”

Sir, that’s gravy.

That's not just a New York thing, it's a US thing. Has been a thing in every city I've lived in.

In fact it's actually less fun in a city like Chicago or New York. In KC or Iowa it's cool because you avoid the crowds and know half the people at the restaurant/theater. Here there are so many Jews that it's not much different than any other day.

I have found this not to be true that it is limited to Chinese and Indian restaurants. Maybe it feels that way but it isn't actually that way.

Voting rights legislation debate killed in the senate.

Cuz what’s more Merican than using minority senate powers to prevent minority votes across the country?

Yes, they are ok with one party writing voting legislation as long as it’s them. And two Senators are too stupid to see it

I wonder if his speech writer still has a job this morning. ZERO chance Madi wrote that himself and I am confident he didn't have any idea who actually said it.

Mad Man had a typical (for him) bad day yesterday.
